This is a simple app but when handling several less files from a framework like bootstrap it takes a lot out of the guesswork and helps get a solid workflow. You would be porting in raw sampled sounds that would need to be keymapped and programmed on the sampler. It's the programming that makes samples usable and playable. Different samplers have different ways of handling program data, which would include parameters having to do with filters, effects (e.g., reverbs) pitch bend, envelopes, LFOs, etc. ![]() Whatever sampler you decide on, it could take some time and effort to make the converted soundfonts usable/playable. You may not wish to postpone your live performances. That being the case, perhaps a module that you trigger with the KX88 would make sense as a short term solution?. Maybe you can find one with sounds similar to the sound fonts you like.I don't even use samplers. If I need one, I'll dust off my fully loaded Emu ESI-32 Turbo. Oh yeah, The M3 can apparently sample too. Honestly, I am not too surprised about the Sonic Core samplers sounding better (I don't remember if I had ever tried them). You cannot have multi adat out for mixing the sample in a digital mixer. Use midi cc controler probably not easy and have to use (midi cc number). I think it will not be easy in the future to find sound for emu esi. If it as is own format for samples it will be more difficult to find free sample.įor sts sample there's 35 gb of free soundfont on internet. Old soundfont sound sometimes "crippy" but the new soundfont sound like real synth. Just have to convert the sondfont in sts to make work the sts well. Sts is not perfect (the filtrers and resonnance not work like other sampler).A3000 is the better for this.īut the only 96 khz hardware sampler is the akai z8 z4 but it doesn't support adat smux for 96 khz.
